Project in Peru Implements Cathodic Protection Techniques in Sedapal Aqueducts

Lima, Perú. The utility company Sedapal, together with ICCICOR company, have initiated an innovative cathodic protection project to inspect and maintain its aqueducts using CIPS and DCVG techniques. These technologies are essential for the prevention of corrosion in buried water pipelines, prolonging their useful life and ensuring continuity of service.

The project, is being developed in collaboration with experts in cathodic protection, and allows accurate detection of points where corrosion could affect to normal operation of the drinking water system. Although, specific location of the project has not been revealed, the implementation of these advanced techniques highlights the responsability and commitment of Sedapal company in order to improving its water infrastructure.

This united effort, reinforces the sustainability of Peru’s water networks, protecting a vital infrastructure for the population.
