Liquefied Natural Gas Plant II in Zulia Starts Operations on August

 

These operations guarantees gas supply to the petrochemical complex and ensures production of plastic resins, which will be transformed into a variety of products, including food packaging, reported AVN.

“All the necessary actions are being taken for the adaptation of the LGN II Plant. During the operations phase, it is estimated that 60,000 million cubic feet of gas per day will be received, which will allow the calibration of the turbines of the high and low pressure compression system”; said María Eugenia Noroño, General Director of Petrochemicals belonging to the Ministry of Petroleum, in a press release issued by Pequiven company.

Likewise, Rubén Ávila Ávila, president of Pequiven company, expressed that the petrochemical workers ratify their commitment to continue joining efforts with other companies. The plant’s start-up and operation phases will be completed in order to achieve the objective of producing methane, ethane, propane, butane, butane and gasoline.
